Destin 2008

We had a great time on our vacation to Destin, Florida this year.

We left on Friday the 11th and stopped in Alabama to visit with my brother and his family. Even though the time was short it was still great to see them.

We left on Saturday morning to official start our vacation to Florida. Now the vacation took a bumpy start, Cole was sick (throwing up in the car on the way on to AL) and then we got stuck in traffic in Pensacola, FL. We went 3 miles in 3 hours. Now as some of you know I have no patience for a lot of things - especially traffic. But you can ask Nick I did pretty good and so did Nick. Saturday afternoon/early evening we finally arrived!

I love the beach!! The rest of the week we had a blast - swimming, sun, beach, waterparks, go-karts, bumper boats. The weather was perfect. A whole week with my family I could not ask for anything more. We left on the following Friday night(the 18th) and we drove straight through - it was only 12 hours and kids slept most of the way. I always hate leaving vacation spots, but I am sure glad that we were able to go.

Enjoy the pictures (there are a lot)!

Sophia loved the pool.

Cole loved doing all sorts of tricks in the pool.

My Dad calls this picture "pure joy".

Sophia is totally in-love with her brother. I love it!

My two precious gifts from God.

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July! We had a great family filled holiday weekend. Nick and I were both off of work, so we were able to take advantage of some family time. It is rare for us to spend that much time together without it being a vacation (Nick works every Saturday - Sunday is our only day together as a family). The weather was perfect and I loved every minute of it!

A great client (aka great friend) was able to get us VIP tickets to see Drake Bell perform in concert which was sponsored by Budweiser (just a little plug). In case you are not down with Drake Bell, like myself, he is an actor/singer from the TV show "Drake and Josh" on TeenNick. Cole and I had a great time. We left behind Nick, Sophia, Papa, and Nana in grass area to listen from afar. I think they had a great time doting over Sophia. She sure is never short of attention!

Cole loved the firetruck. Sophia was not a fan of it!

We brought Sophia's pool out and she just loved it. Anything and everything that that is thrown at her - she loves!

We were also joined by some playmates that live across the street from us - Jackson and Jordan (twins born a little less than a month after Sophia). All had a blast, but I think we need a bigger pool! :-)

BathTime!

Here are a few pictures I took of Cole and Sophia during their bath times.

My Mr. Man decided to take a bath, so he could use his goggles (he is really into swimming) and to see how long he can hold his breath. He is going for a world record! FYI - he usually takes showers (because the statement above sounded weird).

Before...

After...

Still lookin' good...

And forget it...

...there is no way she is getting dressed! She is out of there! Ever sense she figured out how to crawl there is no way she is getting dressed or having her diaper changed. She is a feisty little thing. (I wonder where she gets that from?)
